Introduction On April 24, we legitimate approval to research whether CSU should recognize ASL as a foreign language. Our proposed program include the following activities: 1. compile a sum-up of the criteria by which CSU defines a language as a foreign language 2. determine whether ASL fulfills meets the criteria by which CSU de defines a language as a foreign language 3. investigate the broad start out used in Texas, which uses advance legislation to recognize ASL as a foreign language at all post-secondary institutions at bottom the state 4. write a report that documents our research and recommends whether CSU should break ASL as a foreign language.
